Outreach

Service Dog

Service Dogs are specially trained to mitigate their handlers' challenges. Each person's need is unique, just as each Service Dog is unique and specialized in their training. Some of the challenges Service Dogs are trained to assist with are: autism, hearing impaired, physically disabled, sight/vision impaired, diabetic alert, seizure response, PTSD/emotional response, facility support and working dog. Mississippi OES works to make a difference by raising funds and awareness to assist in making more service dogs become accessible to those in need of them.

Youth

Mississippi OES realizes that the youth is the future. Mississippi OES actively supports the DeMolay International and the International Order of Rainbow for Girls organizations in Mississippi.

The Order of the DeMolay is a youth leadership organization for young men ages 12-21. It is based off teaching seven core values; Filial Love, Reverence, Courtesy, Comradeship, Fidelity, Cleaness and Patriotism; in an effort to create future leaders of character.

The mission of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls (IORG) is to prepare girls for responsible and purposeful adulthood through character and leadership development, encouraging unselfish service and higher ideals in life, promoting teamwork and effective interpersonal communications.
